Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a Principal Laser Engineer for our client in Carlsbad, CA. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading medical device company innovating with advanced laser technologies.

• Location: Carlsbad, CA
• Pay: $140,000–$175,000 annually

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and optimize laser welding, cutting, ablation, and marking processes for medical device manufacturing ( hands-on laser development experience is a MUST!)
• Lead and provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and project teams
• Manage laser process projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality and compliance
• Create detailed documentation including design history files and manufacturing procedures
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving measures

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• 10+ years of experience in laser technology and medical device manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of laser physics, optics, CAD/CAM, and simulation software
• Experience with project management, design FMEA, and lean manufacturing
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with medical device regulations and Lean Six Sigma training preferred
