Job Responsibilities/Objectives

As a Telecoms Technician you will be working in the clients exchange buildings across the USA, providing connectivity schemes between the MDF and Switch infrastructure.

1. Following an agreed schedule provide 2 wire jumpers to complete circuit between the MDF and 20c switching infrastructure.
2. Terminate 2 wire jumpers using twist and tip soldering techniques or IDC tools as appropriate.
3. Provide and test 2Mb co-axial circuits between DDF's.
4. Test Provision of 2wire prior to changeover.
5. Recover old wiring as specified in job pack.
6. Support decommissioning of Switch infrastructure.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. HN1 Basic Frames Accreditation
2. HN4 Frames Accreditation
3. Competent in use of soldering tools
4. Competent in making up and testing 3002 co-axial links
5. Technical understanding of the PSTN
