Our client, a leading food manufacturing company in Southwest Minnesota , is seeking an experienced Senior Quality & Food Safety Supervisor to lead all quality and food safety initiatives at the plant. The facility is located near Mankato and New Ulm (about 80 miles southwest of Minneapolis) , and relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining compliance, ensuring product integrity, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across all operations.
What You’ll Do
Manage all HACCP, Food Safety, and Quality programs for the site
Ensure compliance with FDA (21 CFR 117) , GFSI , and SQF requirements
Lead and mentor a team of QA/QC technicians
Serve as lead internal auditor ; oversee CAPA processes and documentation
Investigate and resolve non-conformances using root cause analysis
Manage GMP, allergen, HACCP, and food defense training
Present performance metrics and quality updates to leadership
Support testing, labeling, and reporting through ERP and LIMS systems
Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance food safety and efficiency
What You’ll Bring
Solid background in food manufacturing
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering , or related field
Proven supervisory experience in QA or food safety
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, and GFSI standards
Strong analytical, auditing, and communication skills
Experience with ERP or LIMS systems preferred
