Job Description

**About the Role & Program:** Join us for the opportunity to intern with the Searchlight Publicity team in Burbank! You will support the department for all film and streaming releases. You will provide on the ground support at a multitude of events including screenings, premieres and junkets as needed. You will be especially helpful in handling special projects and administrative duties. We want to provide you with an enriching experience that gains an understanding of the role of publicity in a film campaign, as well as help you develop excellent administrative skills and a background in how different departments function within a studio. We are a very welcoming team and want the intern to be a part of the Searchlight family! This internship opportunity requires full-time availability in Burbank for the duration of the program. The approximate dates of this internship are August 2025 through December 2025. This internship reports directly to the Director of National Publicity. **What You Will Do:** + Tracking daily breaks, news, and trends (newspapers, trades, magazines, online, socials) + Managing department charts and documents + Setting up Zoom meetings and facilitating Q&A Webinar recordings + Prepping materials and participating in weekly meetings + Working at screenings, premieres, junkets and press days + Assisting publicists with research projects **Required Qualifications & Skills:** + Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook + Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects + High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment + Previous experience working in the entertainment industry + Desire to gain development experience to further their career + Strong written and verbal communications skills + Knowledge and interest in Searchlight Pictures are a plus **Preferred Qualifications & Skills:** + Prior internship experience in film, publicity, marketing, or other related fields preferred + Relevant coursework in Publicity, Marketing, Film and/or Communications **Education** + Senior year preferred + Major or previous courseworkwithCommunications, Marketing, International Business, Media or related **Eligibility Requirements & Program Information** + Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship + Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program. + Be at least 18 years of age + Possess unrestricted work authorization **Additional Information** + Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship + Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm PST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week + Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area + Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work The pay rate for this role in California is $22 per hour.
