Job Description

We are seeking a dependable Part Time  Restaurant Cleaner  (APPROX. 30 HOURS PER WEEK)  to support our team by ensuring all guest facing and back of house areas are spotless, organized, and ready for service.  This role performs cleaning tasks during mid-morning to early afternoon hours, typically 5-6 hours per day. Schedules will vary, and weekend availability is required.

Located on the One 09 in downtown Madison and overlooking Lake Monona, One Prime is an upscale steakhouse featuring premium cuts, excellent wine, panoramic lake views, a corner bar with outdoor access, and two reservable private dining rooms for special events. Blue Jack is a chic, intimate cocktail lounge & speakeasy featuring appetizers, dessert, and craft cocktails. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain dining rooms, bar areas, restrooms, hallways, and entryways.
• Perform routine sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing of all assigned areas.
• Wipe down tables, chairs, light fixtures, windows, and high touch surfaces.
• Empty and replace trash and recycling throughout the restaurant.
• Restock restroom supplies and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness of employee break areas and back of house corridors.
• Assist with occasional deep cleaning or special cleaning projects as needed.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and health guidelines required by the restaurant and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping spaces clean and well maintained.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, carrying, and lifting items.
• Comfortable following cleaning checklists and safety procedures.
• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is helpful but not required.

Schedule & Hours

• Part time role, averaging approximately 30 hours per week.
• Cleaning performed mid morning to early afternoon.
• Shifts typically 5 to 6 hours per day.
• Schedules vary; weekend availability is required .
