Job Description

SUMMARY

KODA Resources is seeking a motivated and collaborative Reservoir Engineer with 2–5 years of industry experience to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will support the company’s reserves management and development planning efforts, working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who is eager to expand their technical skillset while contributing to both economic analysis and field development projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Own and maintain reserves workflows and reporting.
  • Perform production forecasting and decline curve analysis (DCA).
  • Support the generation, updating, and documentation of corporate reserve reports in ARIES.
  • Assist with modeling lease operating expenses (LOE) and input assumptions to support economic evaluations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on technical evaluations and development planning.
  • Help troubleshoot production issues and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Utilize Microsoft Access and SQL-based tools to interact with ARIES and internal data systems.
  • Contribute to cross-functional field development discussions, including infrastructure and midstream integration.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Familiarity with ARIES or similar reserves software.
  • Working knowledge of LOE modeling and economic analysis.
  • Strong experience with production forecasting and DCA methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Access and SQL databases.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Typical office environment, with occasional exposure to field or operational settings.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in oil and gas, preferably with exposure to reserves reporting and economics.

LANGUAGE AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

  • Ability to write reports and correspondence and effectively present information to management.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.
