Who will you be working with?

Provide dedicated support for EDI transactions and Customer Portal activities within the Customer Service Center of Excellence

How will you make a difference?

Ensure seamless electronic communication and self-service capabilities for customers, supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Familiarity with EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
  • Experience with customer service, technical support, or inside sales.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for EDI and web-based portal issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal English and local language skills where required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing conflicting demands.
  • Willingness to adapt to varying day-to-day responsibilities and new challenges.
  • Desire to succeed and provide outstanding customer support.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Experience with EDI platforms, customer portals, or integration tools.
  • Computer proficiency and data entry capability.
  • Basic problem-solving and analytical skills.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Serve as the primary functional point of contact for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions and Customer Portal support within the Freight Customer Service team.
  • Monitor, process, and troubleshoot inbound EDI transactions, ensuring timely and accurate data flow.
  • Resolve discrepancies and exceptions daily across all supported orgs.
  • Maximize auto-flow of inbound customer EDI orders.
  • Respond to and help resolve customer inquiries related to EDI connectivity, transaction errors, and portal access via email, phone, or other channels.
  • Support onboarding of new customers to the EDI platform and Customer Portals, including setup, testing, and training.
  • Document all EDI and portal support activities in Salesforce and/or Oracle as directed by standard process for the appropriate business unit.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve integration issues and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer portal features and expectations.
  • Work with the OPX team to automate, optimize and document EDI and portal processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Wabtec Corporate & local Environment, Health & Safety requirements at all times.
  • Professionally represent Wabtec during all customer communications.
  • Actively contribute to continuous process improvement efforts within the Customer Service COE.
  • Ensure document retention is consistent with Wabtec Corporate policy.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

 

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between $24.00 - $27.00 per hour. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location.
