Job Description

Physical Therapist – Lions Den SMP

Location: Denver Tech Center

About Us

Lions Den SMP (Strength, Mobility, Performance) is a premier training facility serving the Denver Metro area. We pride ourselves on delivering expert coaching in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Our mission is to help members move, feel, and perform their best through strength, mobility, and performance-based training. We offer group classes, personal training, youth programs, and a supportive community for members to grow stronger and more resilient. We value expertise, holistic health, and individualized client care. We’re seeking a

Physical Therapist who shares that vision and is looking to join our community.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) who is passionate about movement quality, lifestyle, fitness as well as rehabilitation. This unique role blends clinical PT services like assessing, treating, and rehabilitating clients with the opportunity to work as a 1099 employee or start/operate your own Physical Therapy business. The ideal candidate will support clients recovering from injury as well as managing chronic conditions. At Lions Den SMP, our trainers do not work in silos. We operate as a coaching team where you’ll collaborate with personal trainers, share knowledge, and be part of a culture built on genuine connections, a

supportive community, and a drive to push each other to be better.

Space Features

We offer dedicated clinic space with up to two treatment rooms, ideal for a Physical Therapy practice, sports rehab clinic, pelvic health, neuro rehab, sports performance, or complementary wellness services. This space is designed for an independent PT clinic wanting to establish or expand operations in a high-quality, well-maintained space.

  • Clinic-appropriate layout with treatment rooms, two large open gym/exercise areas, evaluation space, and shared reception/waiting.
  • ADA compliant access, situated in a well-established Denver corridor with strong residential and commuter traffic.
  • Potential for referral partnerships within the building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical abilities, injury history, mobility, strength, and movement patterns.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, restoring function, and preventing re-injury.
  • Deliver one-on-one physical therapy sessions, manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and movement re-education as needed.
  • Track client progress, document sessions and outcomes, and adjust plans accordingly to ensure safe, effective care.
  • Collaborate with gym staff and personal trainers to integrate rehabilitative and performance-training approaches when appropriate.
  • Educate clients on injury prevention, safe exercise practices, mobility, and—when relevant—healthy lifestyle or wellness considerations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized gym/therapy environment; ensure equipment is used properly and safely.

Qualifications and Credentials

  • Licensed Physical Therapist (Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy) and valid state license.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a PT, ideally in outpatient, sports, or fitness-integrated contexts.
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, injury prevention and rehabilitation protocols.
  • Ability to design both therapeutic and performance-oriented exercise programs tailored to individual clients.
  • Strong passion for fitness, performance, and a collaborative team environment with gym trainers and members.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills with an ability to connect with clients across different fitness levels and needs.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and ability to manage scheduling, documentation, and client follow-up independently.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.

Preferred / Additional Qualifications:

  • Additional certification(s) in strength & conditioning, personal training, corrective exercise or similar (e.g. CSCS, NASM, ACE, etc.).
  • Experience working with athletes, performance clients, or in sports rehab / athletic-training contexts.
  • Familiarity with mobility, movement-screening tools, functional movement assessment and corrective exercise techniques.

What You’ll Gain

  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic gym environment combining rehab, performance, and general fitness, a hybrid rarely found in traditional PT clinics.
  • The ability to impact a wide range of clients.
  • Supportive, community-oriented gym culture that values growth, strength, mobility, and long-term client health (not just quick fixes).
  • Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to merge clinical PT work with Lions Den personal

training/coaching.

  • Potential for professional growth, the opportunity to run your own business while receiving consistent in-house referrals.
  • The ability to work with diverse populations, adapting rehab protocols to performance-driven training, and collaborate with experienced trainers/coaches at Lions Den SMP.
