Job Description
Our client is seeking a Pharmaceutical Packaging Operator to work 1st Shift for their Philadelphia, PA offices.
- Please note this is onsite 5 days/week in Philadelphia, PA
- 2 shifts available: 1st shift is 6:30am-3:30pm Mon - Fri & 2nd shift is 2:30-11:30pm Mon-Fri
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control inspections during equipment operation to ensure products meet established standards and maintain current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) compliance
- Independently configure slat patterns and operate filling equipment at optimal production speeds
- Execute complete maintenance cycles for Slat Filler machines, including disassembly, thorough cleaning, and reassembly procedures
- Operate MGS Topserter systems efficiently while maintaining target production rates
- Manage label changeovers and operate labeling equipment to meet required throughput specifications
- Immediately communicate equipment malfunctions or performance issues to Line Leaders or Maintenance personnel to minimize downtime
- Successfully complete all required Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) certifications via the Veeva training platform
- Execute product packaging and scanning procedures in compliance with serialization regulatory requirements
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to maintain a positive and productive workplace culture
- Actively participate in team initiatives to meet departmental targets and operational excellence goals
- Complete additional responsibilities as delegated by management
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate; alternatively, minimum 6 months of manufacturing industry experience and/or relevant technical training
- Previous work experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred
- Proficient reading comprehension and written communication abilities to interpret procedures and maintain accurate records
- Competency in fundamental mathematical calculations
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment when executing detailed packaging process instructions
