Operations Supervisor Transdev inBaltimore, Marylandis hiring an Operations Supervisor. The Operations Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager on all aspects of the daily location functions. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Key Responsibilities: + Responsible for the check-in process of drivers including fitness for duty inspection, uniform and credential check, and assignment of buses. + Coordinate bus rotation, trips and driver break times by the assignment of Customer Service Representative personnel and vehicles. + Counsel, coaches, and trains drivers and dispatchers. Tracks trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc. + Ensure that drivers are performing assigned duties correctly and safely and that they meet all job related specifications. + Prepare operational reports/schedules. Maintains accurate daily records of operations. + Dispatches as needed. Reconciles previous day deposits. + Responds to customer comments. + May assist in driver hiring in accordance with company standards. + Other responsibilities may include: road checks, routing, training, payroll, and other administrative tasks as required. Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent. + Valid Driver's License. + 1-3 years of transit or related experience. + Supervisory experience with hourly employees; 2- 3 years transit supervisory experience with emphasis on safety preferred. + Computer literate - basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Trapeze. + Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. + Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. + Knowledge of state and local regulations/guidelines, inclusive of DOT, FTA, and FMCSA. + Ability to interpret and initiate policies and procedures. + Demonstrate ability to identify and understand problems and to determine the appropriate measures it takes to solve problems. + Considerable interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. + Excellent communication skills both written and oral. + Ability to manage customer relationships, provide strong customer service skills and work in a fast-paced team environment. + Proven organization skills, understanding the importance of prioritizing effectively and managing multiple tasks in an environment with ever competing demands. Physical Requirements: The essential functions of this position require the ability to: + Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions. + Sit for extended periods (up to 8 - 12 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces. + Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level. + Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
