Adelphi is seeking Medical Laboratory Technicians(MLT) to provide services at a facility in Welch, West Virginia. The ideal candidates will be responsible for conducting medical laboratory tests in various clinical areas such as chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, bacteriology, serology, parasitology, and blood banking, to provide critical data for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Requirements:
• Valid West Virginia Clinical Laboratory Technician and Technologist Licensure and Certification
• 1 year of in-service training in a Medical Laboratory Assistant Program accredited by the American Medical Association (AMA); OR
• 2 years of experience in a medical laboratory under the direct supervision of a Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist, or physician; OR
• Associate degree from an accredited college/university in an accredited medical laboratory program
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests as ordered by physicians or laboratory supervisors.
• Operate and maintain diagnostic laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and minor maintenance.
• Collect, process, and analyze specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
• Conduct microscopic examination and analysis of test results.
• Interpret physician or supervisor orders to determine required testing.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports related to laboratory procedures.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laboratory safety and operational regulations.
• Provide guidance and information to patients regarding laboratory procedures when necessary.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and information security.
• Additional duties as assigned by facility.
