Job Description

​​​​​​We are a dermatology practice (80% medical/surgical and 20% cosmetic) located in Lansdowne/Leesburg and Aldie, VA. Featuring one board-certified dermatologist, 3 PAs, and a full-time laser and aesthetic physician -- you will be working directly with our providers. Our physicians work closely with, and hire, all employees. We are a close-knit team who pride ourselves in working hard for the benefit of our patients.

Job Description

• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain medical histories
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Assist physicians during in-office surgeries, excisions, biopsies, and cosmetic treatments
• Support patients with medication instructions and guidance
• Act as a scribe for the provider during visits
• Work one-on-one with dermatologists and physician assistants
• Receive comprehensive in-office training
• Learn to use our electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Gain additional support through our custom MA training manual

Qualifications

Job Type:

• Full-time In-Person (32-36 hours/week) 4 days a week (3-day weekend)
• 3 days in Lansdowne
• 1 day in Aldie 

Experience:

• Prior medical assisting experience is strongly preferred
• Completion of a medical assistant training program is helpful, but not required
• Previous clinical experience with direct patient contact is preferred
• Background in other healthcare roles is also valued
• Excellent opportunity for Pre-MD or Pre-PA candidates looking for hands-on experience

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Certifications/Licenses:

• Medical Assisting Certification is preferred

Salary

• Starts at $18.00 hourly and increases with years of experience
