JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Senior Engineer by completing design tasks.
- Potential for additional responsibility depending on experience and demonstrated success in the role.
- Concept design and part modeling using Creo.
- Stress & life analysis
- Assessing risk of part nonconformances
- Reviewing PPAP information
- Participating in CPPD discussions with suppliers
- Works closely with Senior Axle Housing Desing Engineer
- Interacts with suppliers, supplier development engineers, and internal process partners (Quality, Operations, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Proficient in Creo
- Understands basic geometric tolerancing
- Strong initiative
- Effective verbal & written communicator
- Can manage individual tasks to meet deadlines
- Open to input & feedback from others
- Works well with other engineers, suppliers, and internal process partners
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in Creo Simulate FEA
- Experience in steel or iron casting design
- Practical / hands-on experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Eagerness to learn new things
