Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development Collaborate with senior staff to create comprehensive site design solutions for master planning, parks, plazas, streetscapes, athletic facilities, and private landscapes.
  • Project Management Assist with project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Site Analysis & Planning Conduct site research, zoning/code review, and feasibility studies; prepare site, grading, and planting plans.

  • Construction Documentation Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and materials; coordinate with civil engineers on grading and hardscape solutions.
  • Client Interaction Present design concepts, lead discussions, and build long-term client relationships.
  • Sustainability & Innovation Incorporate green infrastructure, native plantings, stormwater strategies, and energy-efficient solutions.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship Guide junior team members while working alongside architects, engineers, planners, and municipal officials.
  • Professional Growth Stay up to date with industry trends, codes, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's or Master's in Landscape Architecture (accredited program).
  • Experience : 5+ years professional experience with a strong portfolio and successful project record.
  • Skills :
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, and/or Revit
    • Strong graphic presentation + communication skills
    • Solid knowledge of construction techniques + plant materials
    • Familiarity with zoning codes, regulations, and sustainable design standards
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills across multiple projects
    • Excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving abilities
  • Certifications : Licensed Landscape Architect (or in process); LEED or similar sustainability credentials a plus.
