Job Title: Lab Supply Technician
Job Description The Lab Supply Technician plays a crucial role in supporting scientists by managing their equipment and handling vendor management for all lab suppliers. This position involves interacting with scientists to ensure they have all necessary consumables and managing the purchase and order of inventory through the QMS system.
Responsibilities - Fulfill internal requests and maintain stockroom and point of use inventories according to customer-determined thresholds.
- Communicate with the supervisor regarding supply stock, material needs, software upgrades, and other relevant issues.
- Assist with laboratory supply stockroom and site inventories.
- Collect and supply metrics as required by management.
Essential Skills - Proficient in inventory management and lab operations.
- Experience in inventory control, stock room management, and vendor management.
- Familiarity with bench testing, buffer prep, and media prep.
- Ability to support lab operations and manage inventory effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Comply with all safety standards and policies relevant to the site, department, and job function.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with management and employees at all levels.
- Team player committed to working in a safe, high-performance, and quality-driven environment.
Work Environment
This is a 100% onsite role with work hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, though there may be occasions requiring extended hours. The role demands high communication skills and a hard-working, detail-oriented individual. This is a great opportunity to work with scientists at a growing company, interacting across various departments and engaging with different quality systems.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Somerville, Massachusetts.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
