Job Title: L3 Network Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Primary Skill : Project Deployment (LAN Refresh, Cisco WLC, Meraki, SD-WAN)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to support and execute project-based network infrastructure initiatives, including LAN refresh, Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and Meraki upgrades, and SD-WAN deployments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies and a strong understanding of network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support LAN refresh projects, including switch replacements, patching, and documentation.
• Plan and execute Cisco WLC and Meraki wireless infrastructure upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Assist in the design, deployment, and optimization of SD-WAN solutions across multiple sites.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, server, and application teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Perform site surveys, network assessments, and capacity planning.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and change records.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues during and post-deployment.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware delivery, configuration, and support.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco switches, routers, WLCs, and Meraki devices.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela, Meraki SD-WAN, or similar).
• Proficiency in network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, etc.).
• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Meraki Dashboard).
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Relevant certifications preferred: CCNA, CCNP, Meraki CMNA, or SD-WAN certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in large-scale network refresh or transformation projects.
• Knowledge of wireless site surveys and RF planning.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.
