DIS is seeking two board-certified or board-eligible Hospitalists for the Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. The Hospitalists will provide comprehensive inpatient hospital medicine services, including patient admissions, evaluations, treatments, perioperative care, and discharge planning. Services will be performed on-site for a six-month period from December 15, 2025, to June 14, 2026, with potential for a six-month extension.

Employment Type: 6-Month Contract

Compensation: $130/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Admitting patients: Conducting initial assessments and documenting medical histories.
• Diagnosing and treating acute conditions : Managing illnesses that require hospitalization, often in collaboration with specialists.
• Ordering and interpreting tests: Including labs, imaging, and other diagnostics to guide treatment decisions.
• Developing treatment plans: Prescribing medications, therapies, and interventions tailored to each patient’s condition.
• Conducting daily rounds: Monitoring progress, adjusting treatments, and communicating with patients and families.

Qualifications:

Licensure

• Must hold a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Physicians with any history of restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily surrendered, or denied licenses will not be considered.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited institution.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform long surgeries.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range: $130.00/hr to 140.00/hr
