Job Description

We are currently looking for an Estimator to join a well-established heavy civil contractor. The ideal candidate will have experience in:

* Utilities and asphalt paving for site improvements, commercial, multifamily, and subdivision projects
* Wastewater and water treatment centers
* Cityscape improvement projects
* Heavy highway and civil construction, including DOT projects
* Grade and drain work

Responsibilities:

* Manage the entire bid process from invitation to final proposal submission
* Analyze construction documents, perform quantity takeoffs, and identify scope of work
* Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to assess site conditions
* Review subcontractor and vendor proposals for accuracy and compliance
* Develop preliminary construction schedules and ensure estimates are complete and well-organized
* Manage multiple bids, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
* Collaborate with owners, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams

Qualifications:

* 5+ years of estimating experience in site development or highway construction
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
* Proven ability to estimate projects
* Strong knowledge of mass excavation, concrete structures, bridges, drainage, and utilities
* Experience with value engineering, constructability analysis, and risk assessment
* Proficient in estimating software
