Job Title: Glazier/ Glass Installer

Location: Harlingen, TX

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing glass windows, doors, skylights, storefronts, and other structures. The Glazier will work with various types of glass, including clear, tinted, and reflective, and may also be required to cut, fit, and install glass for custom projects both commercial and residential.

Responsibilities:

1. Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions using hand tools or glass-cutting machines.
2. Install glass in windows, doors, skylights, storefronts, and other structures, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
3. Fabricate and install aluminum frames and mullions for glass installation.
4. Apply putty, caulking, or rubber strips to seal joints and weatherproof installations.
5. Install and secure glass using clips, moldings, or other types of fasteners.
6. Repair or replace broken glass in existing installations.
7. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to determine installation procedures.
8. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while working at heights or with heavy glass panels.
9. Collaborate with contractors, architects, and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
10. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any maintenance or repair needs.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Glazier or similar role.
2. Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing glass using hand tools and equipment.
3. Strong knowledge of glass types, grades, and thicknesses.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and diagrams.
5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Physical strength and stamina to lift and maneuver heavy glass panels.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
8. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
9. OSHA certification or willingness to obtain one.
