Physician - Non-Invasive Cardiologist

SCHEDULE: 
- Full-Time
- Monday to Friday
- No Nights
- No Weekends
- No Holidays
- No On-Call

COMPENSATION:
- $400,000 to $575,000 Starting Salary, negotiable based on experience

Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn, New York

COMPANY PROFILE: 
This organization is the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater New York City metro area with more than 35 offices serving 500,000 patients per year.  In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, dermatology, endocrinology, podiatry, behavioral health, and much more.  Their staff of more than 400 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, with resources such as on-site laboratory and radiology services.  They are currently hiring due to growth.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 
This is a non-invasive cardiology position.  Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- evaluate, diagnose, and treat disorders / diseases of the cardiovascular system
- perform a range of non-invasive cardiology procedures
- diagnose patients with the aid of diagnostic images, electrocardiograph recordings, etc.
- review patient histories and perform physical examinations
- heart disease early prevention screenings
- cardio and vascular disease early prevention detection screenings
- metabolic and peripheral vascular disease testing
- echocardiography and stress echo testing
- pacemaker and defibrillator monitoring
- review all test results and recommend suitable management for patients
- prescribe medications
- formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans
- communicate with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care

A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon provider preference and patient needs.  All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.

The practice uses the Epic EHR.

REQUIREMENTS:
- New York medical license
- DEA
- Board Certified or Eligible, Cardiology
- nuclear certification
- echo certification
