Food Safety Systems & Quality Assurance Program Manager

Greater NYC Area | On-site | Full-time

Compensation: $90,000–$120,000, depending on experience

A day in this role

Morning walk-throughs on the plant floor. You check sanitation records, verify CCPs, and confirm that today’s runs align with established HACCP plans. Midday, you review trending data and coach technicians on a recent nonconformance. In the afternoon, you’re prepping the team for an upcoming SQF audit while partnering with production leads to ensure FDA and ISO standards are met in every lot released.

What you’ll own

• Full stewardship of site-wide FSQA programs aligned to FDA and ISO requirements
• HACCP plan maintenance: documentation, updates, verification, and execution
• Internal audit schedule, execution, and corrective action follow-up; external inspection readiness
• Leadership of QA technicians—hiring, training, mentoring, and day-to-day coordination
• Dimensional verification using micrometers and CMMs to confirm product conformance (Calypso experience a plus)
• Data analysis to drive CAPA and continuous improvement initiatives
• Cross-functional collaboration with operations and site leadership to uphold product quality

What you bring

• 4+ years in food industry quality, including team leadership
• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• HACCP and SQF certifications (required)
• Hands-on proficiency with micrometers and CMMs; familiarity with Calypso software is advantageous
• Clear communicator with training and audit-preparation expertise
• Comfort operating on the plant floor and managing robust documentation

Schedule & pay

• On-site, full-time role (Monday–Friday) with occasional weekend coverage
• Salary range: $90,000–$120,000 DOE
• Local candidates only; relocation assistance is not available
