THE JOB: Petrossian at Bellagio is seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Runner to join our prestigious team. Located in the heart of the Bellagio, our restaurant is renowned for its sophisticated ambiance, exquisite cuisine, and impeccable service. THE STARTING RATE: $14.1037 hourly THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner, making them feel welcome
Provide personalized guest experiences by guiding food and beverage selections, presenting the menu, offering curated cocktail and aperitif options, recommending courses, highlighting Chef's specialties, suggesting wine pairings, and addressing inquiries about ingredients and preparation methods.
Communicate needs of the guest to kitchen and management, inform management of guest reaction and comments and assist management to ensure smooth operation and quality service
Maintain knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
Keep work area clean and stocked; prepare room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
At least one year of previous experience in à la carte serving, ideally in a restaurant with a three-diamond (AAA Diamond Rating) or higher classification (four or five diamonds)
Three (3) years of experience in fine dining ala carte serving in a high-volume restaurant
