Tekberry is seeking two experienced Facility Mechanical / HVAC Engineers to join our client, a global leader in advanced materials and manufacturing technologies . Position Overview:

The Facility Mechanical / HVAC Engineer will provide engineering and project leadership in support of facility mechanical systems-including HVAC, compressed dry air (CDA), process cooling water (PCW), process air (PA), and related systems-across multiple business divisions. Operating within a corporate engineering group, this role will apply fundamental engineering principles to design, develop, and implement robust facility systems and processes.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-driven mechanical engineer with deep experience in HVAC design, project execution, system troubleshooting, and startup leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide mechanical and HVAC engineering expertise to support facilities projects across multiple Corning locations.
• Lead and manage projects through all phases-initiation, planning, design, implementation, and closeout.
• Develop and review project concepts, scopes, estimates, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Oversee design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of facility systems and equipment.
• Collaborate closely with corporate, division, plant, and R&D teams to ensure alignment and successful execution.
• Prepare and forecast capital and expense budgets for design, equipment, and installation projects.
• Apply structured problem-solving methods (e.g., K-T, DESGN, DMAIC) to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Lead, mentor, and support internal engineers, contingent staff, and external contractors.
• Provide clear and effective communication and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE or FE certification strongly desired.
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of engineering and professional experience, with emphasis on facility mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Proven record of success in project leadership, HVAC design, installation, and system start-up.

Required Skills:

• Strong application of mechanical and HVAC engineering principles in design and problem solving.
• Excellent project management, estimating, forecasting, and scheduling capabilities.
• Proficiency in system troubleshooting and commissioning of facility mechanical systems.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results independently.

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency with MS Project and SharePoint.
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP/PMI) certification preferred.
