Job Title: Electronics Engineer
Job Description
The Electronics Engineer will collaborate with the engineering team to develop power systems and converters primarily for defense customers. The tools used in design, layout, and simulation include Altium, MATLAB, and PSPICE.
Responsibilities
+ Develop power systems and converters for defense applications.
+ Use Altium for layout and design of electronic circuits.
+ Perform simulations using MATLAB.
+ Conduct electrical testing, including soldering, component testing, and schematic analysis.
+ Perform hipot tests, repairs, and refurbishments.
+ Utilize tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters for testing and assembly.
+ Work with PCB designs, wiring diagrams, and analog circuit designs.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Altium for layout and design.
+ Experience with PCB, wiring diagrams, and electronics.
+ Understanding of electrical and analog circuit design.
+ Knowledge of power systems, specifically AC/DC.
+ Familiarity with MATLAB for simulation.
+ Experience as an electrical test engineer.
+ Skill in soldering and component testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with schematics and hipot tests.
+ Ability to repair, refurbish, and work with AC/DC systems.
+ Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and hand tools.
Work Environment
The role requires 100% onsite work. The engineering team consists of over 20 engineers divided into three groups: Mechanical, Electrical, and Prototyping. The company is smaller and more agile, valuing results and experience over formal degrees, offering ample opportunities for growth and promotion.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
