Director of Healthcare Facilities & Engineering Operations

We are seeking an experienced Director of Facilities Management to lead our hospital's engineering, biomedical, security, and emergency management operations. This senior leadership position offers an opportunity to drive operational excellence while ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct comprehensive facilities operations including Engineering, Biomedical Services, Security, and Emergency Management departments
• Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA, and NFPA regulations while maintaining Environment of Care and Life Safety standards
• Serve as Hospital Safety Officer, implementing and enforcing safety protocols across all facilities
• Manage multi-million dollar operational and construction budgets, including capital planning and resource allocation
• Oversee facility renovation and construction projects across main hospital campus and satellite locations
• Direct preventive maintenance programs and infrastructure improvements
• Supervise department personnel and contractor relationships, including Biomedical services
• Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives aligned with hospital-wide objectives

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare facilities management experience
• Demonstrated experience with Joint Commission standards and compliance
• Recent Director-level facilities management experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and building systems
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional technical certifications or specialized training
• 3+ years of management experience in healthcare facilities operations
• Experience with capital planning and construction management
