Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE: Analytics Support business by addressing and resolving questions / requests in a timely manner; this includes identifying profit improvement opportunities for assigned product / channel through knowledge and use of OWI products, systems, and tools. DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop pricing programs for new business opportunities in line with company product / channel profitability requirements
- Follow a regular review of profitability through variance analysis for assigned product / channel and work cross-functionally to improve business performance
- Assist in budgeting, planning, and forecasting for assigned product / channel
- Create and Maintain P&Ls for the business, both current and new opportunities
- Provide input for promotions development and prepare feedback analysis on results.
- Use financial modelling to produce customer / channel / product reports in support of business.
- Proactively identify opportunities to support business in driving profit through analytical review of assigned customers, including driving compliance, conversions, and penetration opportunities.
- Support Sales Channel Directors with:
- visibility to items that impact the P&L
- projections and review forecasts for demand planning
- Analyze all areas of competition including pricing programs.
- Work with other departments as needed to assist sales in driving business strategy
- Responsible for special projects and initiatives as assigned by department leadership.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: - Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business and/or Finance and 3+ years’ experience, in an analytical role.
- Strong communication / Interpretation skills
- Proven analytical background
- Data driven mindset; ability to analyze information and make recommendations
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Team player with problem-solving mindset who proactively works with other people to ensure customer needs are met.
- Ability to prepare presentations and utilize them to assist with cross-departmental processes.
- Knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Knowledge of Tableau Reporting Software preferred.
- Knowledge of Power BI preferred
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills)
