About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated BIM Coordinator to join our Electrical Construction team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, data-enriched models for new construction and renovation projects across a wide range of commercial and retail buildings.
You will work closely with the electrical construction team to ensure designs meet client specifications, project deadlines, and budget requirements. We are looking for a self-motivated professional with a strong understanding of BIM software and the electrical construction field.
Key Responsibilities:
Review electrical wiring, lighting plans, schedules, one-line diagrams, and project details
Audit and review project models, ensuring accuracy and readiness for production
Prepare and revise electrical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit with minimal supervision, adhering to company standards
Develop Revit models for electrical and lighting systems, including associated contract drawings
Interpret and work from construction plans and technical drawings
Maintain project drawing files, layer standards, drawing libraries, and documentation
Perform limited design tasks such as equipment layout and spatial planning within models
Maintain and update department standards, including symbols, details, and workflows
Collaborate effectively with clients, external consultants, and internal teams to deliver quality designs and drawings
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
Minimum of three years of BIM or electrical drafting experience
Proficient in both 2D and 3D design using Revit and AutoCAD
Strong understanding of electrical systems and drafting standards
Proven ability to design and draft electrical systems accurately
Experience communicating technical information clearly to team members and clients
Experience in lighting design is a plus
Must pass drug and background screening requirements
Valid driver’s license required
