What you'll be doing…

In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for developing pricing strategies within the Base Management team. This is a highly analytical and strategic role focused on developing pricing strategies that help drive incremental revenue, optimize Verizon's price plan mix, and implement pricing actions that will modernize the business.

You will help define our strategic approach to pricing, identifying ROI-profitable segments and opportunities for revenue growth while optimizing Verizon's price plan mix. You will be responsible for developing pricing programs that drive incremental revenue, as well as building the business case to justify the program and obtain financial approvals, along with developing plans to drive & measure results.

As part of the strategy team, you will work cross-functionally with the team to evaluate key cohorts within our base, analyze performance across a variety of KPIs, and assess potential threats in the competitive landscape to optimize pricing and drive revenue. A critical part of your success in this role will be your ability to develop and coordinate pricing strategy across multiple teams, and to facilitate collaborative and productive relationships with peers across VCG -- both within the Base Management team and other key stakeholders across the business.

You will be the key conduit between the Acquisition and Base Marketing team and our partners across HQ support & cross functional teams, as well as the local markets and segment marketing teams. You'll help translate how our core strategies apply to identified opportunities within their programs and drive impact/results. Through strong project management skills and sustained collaboration, you'll help ensure that we leverage opportunities to integrate key insights from these groups back into our overall base marketing program and strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing pricing strategies for both the broad consumer base and highly targeted cohorts.

  • Developing business cases to support investment in strategic pricing initiatives.

  • Tracking and reporting on the performance of revenue generation campaigns and initiatives.

  • Leading strategic analysis and insight generation to support revenue generating pricing strategies, and interface directly with Marketing leadership.

  • Utilizing customer analytics to develop a deeper understanding of the customer’s profile, point-of-contact engagement and activity across online and offline channels. Use findings to tie behavioral data to inform audience pulls to optimize our communication strategies.

  • Driving data-based analyses on key business metrics, customer cohorts and segments, and competitors. Analyze base performance by distilling complex data sets into concise and actionable data insights. This work will be used to further refine marketing campaign strategies to drive greater value and increase revenue/margin. Ability to package fact-based recommendations clearly and “tell a story” with data to leadership is critical for success in this role.

  • Acting as a conduit to cross-functional teams, including Performance Management, Business Intelligence, Communications, Digital, Device, CX, and Finance, etc to align on revenue goals and strategies and implement best-in-class marketing plans.

  • Evaluating industry trends, marketing, and internal factors and assessing the viability of alternative strategies.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience gathering, organizing, and analyzing large amounts of information coupled with strong project management skills.

  • Experience working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Experience and understanding of Home and Mobile products and services.

  • Prior marketing and/or finance-related experience, such as market research, financial analysis, pricing, product marketing, or strategic planning.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master’s degree, preferably an MBA.

  • Diverse experience in the wireless and telecommunications industry.

  • Ability to think strategically and to "see the big picture".

  • Prior CRM, lifecycle management experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to simplify complex concepts and "tell the story" effectively to any audience.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $124,000.00 - $238,000.00.

The salary range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $136,500.00 - $238,000.00.
