Job Summary: As an Executive Director in our US Equity Active Core Group, you will oversee approximately $160 billion in client assets for institutions and team member investors worldwide. In this client-facing Investment Specialist (IS) role, you will represent our strategies across various client types and investment wrappers. You will collaborate with portfolio managers, client advisors, and many internal teams, including RFP, Marketing, Product Strategy, and Account Management, to promote business growth and deliver superior client service.
Key Responsibilities: - Act as a key representative for multiple investment teams and strategies to internal partners, prospects, and existing clients across both institutional and advisor businesses.
- Foster strong partnerships with portfolio managers, research analysts, and other investors to align strategies and achieve common goals.
- Develop and deliver compelling product messaging to drive new business, retain existing assets, and enhance client satisfaction.
- Demonstrate strong capital markets acumen, effectively communicating on macroeconomic environments, industry trends, and current events.
- Lead new product initiatives, requiring consensus building across product development, distribution management, and portfolio management.
- Oversee the end-to-end client onboarding process, including negotiating investment management agreements, fee schedules, client reporting, and investment guidelines
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills - 10+ years of significant capital markets experience with a strong understanding of the financial services industry.
- Proven experience in pitching and servicing institutional mandates.
- Demonstrated ability in project management and driving strategic initiatives.
- Strong understanding of US Equity products and services.
- Exceptional written communication, large group presentation, and interpersonal skills, including prior sales experience.
- Proficient in investment performance, performance composites, attribution, and advisory/model delivery relationships.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills - Self-motivated, confident, and a team player with strong people management skills and a strategic mindset.
- Creative and collaborative approach to problem-solving, with flexibility to tailor messages based on audience and market conditions.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective liaison with numerous groups within JPMAM.
