Job Description

James Allen is looking for an Art Director that will be responsible for the inception, production and execution of marketing and advertising communications that live across R2Net - JamesAllen.com and all of the brand channels. They will work closely with the Creative Senior Director, and other marketing department leads to deliver compelling 360° campaigns.

The Art Director will collaborate cross-functionally across teams including Marketing, Digital Production, Merchandising, and Product to develop concepts and assets that best represent James Allen while maintaining industry and style standards. They will oversee visual identity of every communication channel including (but not limited to) digital & print advertising, cross platform video and social media.

Responsibilities :

  • Create dynamic marketing campaigns across multiple mediums including print, social, digital media, website, video, editorial and OOH media.
  • Develop digitally native and dynamic campaign solutions to help James Allen stand above the competition.
  • Collaborate with marketing, merchandising and product development departments to execute ideas, while implementing strategic tactics on time and within budget.
  • Initiate, develop, and implement cross channel visual identities for the brand, new product launches and any marketing activities.
  • Lead a team of Digital Designers and work hands-on with the team to design dynamic digital and print assets.
  • Serve as the key creative lead, overseeing the design team's output (emails, website banners, organic and paid social assets, etc.) and maintain a high standard of innovative creative work.
  • Develop compelling vision for video and photo content.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to find innovative creative uses for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram Live, Reels & TV, TikTok, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the brand and social media teams to create digital marketing campaigns and work in conjunction to bring campaigns to fruition.
  • Help develop and influence the overall brand’s look and feel.
  • Maintain a company brand book based on the dynamic branding needs of the marketing team and the company.
  • Partner with Marketing & Merchandising leads to ensure the content produced by the creative team is created efficiently and collaboratively with various stakeholders within the business.
  • Work to ensure consistency of the company’s design and branding guidelines across all company outputs and oversee the application thereof in an ongoing manner.
  • Manage the design templates and company style guide to ensure a cohesive style, tone and look for all touchpoints and outputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Fine Arts, or related area of study.
  • Strong hands-on designer with 5+ years of experience in digital web design, preferably within the B2C / ecommerce space.
  • Leadership and people skills with 3+ years' experience in a management position.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, XD, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate creative ideas into commercial objectives.
  • Strong storytelling, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in editorials with a strong understanding of typography for screen and print design.
  • Experience in brand supervision, development, and implementation.
  • Experience in art directing photo shoots and video production.
  • Familiarity with the operations and procedures of content production.
  • Experience in AI creative production (Midjourney) a plus.

Annual base pay: $105,000- $125,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
