On-Campus Instructor Position

Become an On-Campus Instructor for The Academies by Harvard Student Agencies this Summer

• Position: On-Campus Academies Instructor
• Location:  Harvard University
• Commitment:  Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:45am-5:15pm with 30 min lunch break)
• Duration: 
  • Full Session: June 3rd to August 8th (July 4th week off - 9 total weeks of work)
  • Partial Session: Some Instructors may be hired for shorter periods depending on program demand and Instructor availability
• Compensation: $37.50 per hour ($1500 weekly) + Housing Stipend

Are you passionate about teaching and making an impact on young minds? The Academies by Harvard Student Agencies is hiring full-time instructors for its on-campus pre-professional summer programs. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-school students from diverse backgrounds and build their skills through engaging curricula.

Programs Offered:

• Business
• Coding
• Government
• Pre-Med
• Finance

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate alongside co-instructors to teach a class of high-school aged students
  • Each Academies program is a week long - you will likely be teaching new students every week
  • Class sizes vary by subject but we target a student-instructor ratio of no more than 15:1
• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons based on our provided curricula.
• Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Monitor student progress and facilitate them in creating a capstone project that will be presented to their parents
• Assist with program logistics if necessary 

Qualifications:

• Current Harvard undergraduate student or recent graduate 
• Passionate about education and working with students
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to commit to working from full time for given program weeks
• No prior teaching experience necessary!
